Dovers Caves & Tunnels (Historic Document)

The tunnels built in the side of a chalk quarry in Dover Kent. These were built in world war one as air raid shelters for the Dover public.

The tunnel was built using the machine similar to the 1880 channel tunnel test bore:

The tunnels were used again in world war two protecting people from shelling and bombing from German occupied France.

WW2 Underground Hosiptal (Historic Document)

These tunnels were used as a Dressing Station/Hospital in WW2 which at the time was located near a combat area and dealt with minor injuries.

The tunnels have been since sealed again due to the danger of rubbish dumped in there, Asbestos and risk of collapse.

Hitler's Secret V3 Weapon (Historic Document)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortress_of_Mimoyecques

I went to Fortress of Mimoyecques in 2010 but the site was shut to visitors at that time. I decided to make a Historic Document about the history at the Mimoyecques site!

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The V-3 was also known as the Hochdruckpumpe ("High Pressure Pump," HDP for short), which was a code name intended to hide the real purpose of the project. It was also known as Fleißiges Lieschen ("Busy Lizzie")

Frank Illingworth's Tunnel & Cave (Historic Document)

Please see this web site for some fantastic information into this location:

http://thanetunderground.blogspot.co.uk/2006/05/frank-illingworths-puzzle-tunnel.html

Ramsgate and most of Thanet has stories to tell, with tunnels and caves all over.

This tunnel is the most extreme iv eve been too. Frank Illingworth's tunnel in Pegwell Bay, has a strange past!

A tunnel just big enough to crew through has been dug and goes into the cliff for 500feet. The ends of this tunnel has two very small shafts going up to where a house would have once been above on the cliff.

This is my 2009 failed explore of the tunnel as well as my historic look into the history.
